REAL REASON PASTOR AYO ORITSEJAFOR IS EVADING COURT SUMMONS

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, outgoing President of the  Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has been evading court summon since Thursday over the proposed  election of the association he is to oversee  this week, SaharaReporters has learnt.
Some aggrieved Christian leaders  have dragged Oritsejafor to a Federal High Court in Abuja, where they are  challenging his plot to  bar them from  participating  in the  coming election of the association.
Oritsejafor has come under criticism from notable leaders of the   Christian community, including the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), who  accuse  him of violating the association’s constitution and tradition of electing a  national president.
Oritsejafor  has sternly warned  all the staff of the CAN  National Secretariat in Abuja not to collect any court summons  and hurriedly closed down administrative  office on Thursday.
The outgoing President has been unveiled  as the brain behind the crisis in ECWA/TEKAN bloc  of CAN after Reverend Jeremiah Gado emerged its nominee.
Oritsejafor  is said to be working with the CAN Secretary, Reverend  Musa Asake,  to plant stories in the media suggesting that   President Muhammadu Buhari is sponsoring a candidate for the CAN Presidency as a basis of actualizing their plot.
It was further gathered that Oritsejafor and Asake have vowed to stop from participating in the election  all Christian leaders opposed to their use of CAN for former  President Goodluck Jonathan's presidential campaign by branding them  "jihadists" and "enemies" of the church.
Already,  Catholic Bishops and other Christian leaders opposed to the  involvement of CAN  in partisan politics have reached an agreement, with which they hope  to redeem the association in accordance with the vision of its founding members.
